CGIC Human Rights Council
Welcome to the CGIC Human Rights Council, where dignity, justice, and equality form the foundation of everything we do. We are a committed organization working tirelessly to protect fundamental human rights and uplift individuals and communities whose voices often go unheard. Our purpose is to defend the vulnerable, promote fairness, and support initiatives that inspire social transformation and long-term empowerment.
Core human rights issues
• Civil and Political Rights: Freedom of expression, assembly, religion, thought, and the right to a fair trial.
• Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights: Rights related to development, health, housing, and education.
• Equality and Non-Discrimination: Protecting against discrimination based on race, gender, religion, or other statuses, and addressing issues like racial justice and women’s rights.
• Justice and Rule of Law: Addressing issues such as criminal justice reform, torture, and accountability for human rights violations.

What We Do
- Legal Aid & Justice Programs: We offer legal support, counseling, guidance, and resources to individuals facing violations of their human rights.
- Human Rights Awareness & Education: Through campaigns, workshops, and outreach programs, we educate citizens about their rights and how to protect them.
- Protection of Women & Child Rights: We advocate for the safety, dignity, and justice of women and children while supporting survivors of violence, abuse, and exploitation.
- Support for Vulnerable Communities: We work with socially and economically disadvantaged groups to help them access justice, public services, and equal opportunities.
- Policy Advocacy & Social Reform: We engage with government bodies and institutions to promote policies that uphold equality, fairness, and civil liberties.
